PHONER HAYES CARLL 051112Ok – so I’m not one to gush over an artist normalllly….HOWEVER, when it comes to Hayes Carll, I turn from a professional self composed dj to a giggly, giddy school girl. For some reason, Hayes brings that out in me. EEEEEEEEEK! See – just his name sends me into another orbit. Listen below for my conversation w Hayes today and hear me “gush”. I love this guy so much that I even left my best friend’s wedding last year to haul ass to JAB fest because I finally had a chance to meet him face to face. So updo, bridesmaid dress and all – I made it just in time to find him backstage and profess my undying love for him. I remember – he was so cool too. So chill! So laid back! And so everything I’d imagined. We talked songwriting for about 10 minutes and took a picture, (see below) and I was a happy woman. And it’s not that I have a school girl crush on Hayes Carll, although who wouldn’t…. It’s his music that I adore. His music has brought me so much joy, and as someone who tries to write songs too, I look up to him and his ability to write some of the best songs that I’ve ever heard. You gotta worship a songwriter like that! And if ya don’t – well then you can KMAG YOYO. Amen Hayes Carll – see ya at the Blue Light tonight. Oh yeah , and…………EEEEEEEEEEK!!!
